Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is well today.
Just had to tell someone, I was having a dreadful day, its my 51st birthday today and the first one
without my lovely Pete, have been awake since 5am crying non stop, didn't want to get out of bed,
but the dogs made me get up, wanting to go out and breakfast, then the postman came with a
special delivery for me, when I opened it , it was from our daughter in Scotland, she had spoken to
our sons and between them they had bought me the most beautiful locket ever, in it were pictures of
all of them and me and Pete, and the message was 'wear this always, then we are always close even
when you cant see us. Sorry crying again, just have to get through today.
Lots of love and hugs to you all, thankyou for listening.

Carol I won't wish you a Happy Birthday because I know that such a thing isn't possible for you right now, but I will wish you some Birthday peace, today, on your special day. What a wonderful family you have to think long and hard about what they could buy you for this most difficult of Birthdays, and the sentiments that came with it are so so special.
YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Carol

When we lose someone so precious it is hard every day to carry on. It sounds as if you have a wonderful family who will support you through this awful time. Keep drawing their love and comfort and never be afraid to express your emotions. Through something so tragic your family will knit a tighter bond.

Keeping you in my prayers.

Love
Jackie

Dear Carol,

How very hard today must have been for you, without your dear Pete around to share it with. Your children sound so caring and thoughful, to send you such a very special gift. I hope it brings you warmth and comfort, and helps you in your grief.

Take care,

Kathleen x

Hi Carol,

Happy Birthday I'm glad it was special for you getting your locket. Your family sound lovely, such a well thought out gift. Your Pete will be watching over you believe in that. Also I think you should consider going to the doctor and ask him to give you a mild anti depressant to tide you over the coming months to help lift your sadness. There is no shame in taking something to help you and it would only be for a short time. Thinking about you Lorna xx

Birthday Wishes to you Carol. What a hard time you must be having now. having lost a very dear friend last year i know a little of maybe what you are feeling but nothing like what you are going thru. Pete was your hubby and nothing whatever can put into words the grief you must be feeling for him. I feel really sad to think of you by yourself and so upset. What dogs do you have they maybe help a little to hold you together. What a lovely present and nice surprise for you to recieve. Good to have family who cares about you. please keep posting you are not alone.

Thankyou everyone for your lovely messages, our son Stuart and his fiance Lisa took
me to their house and cooked dinner for me and gave me a special cake, seemed really strange
without Pete and couldn't stop thinking about him.
Sue, you asked about the dogs, we have two Weimaraniers, Saffi is 9 today, I bought her for Pete
when she was 8 weeks old, so she is his dog and she is really pining for him, and Storm is 4 and she is one of Saffi's
pups, we had 8 altogether, very hard work but we enjoyed the experience. They both miss him dreadfully
and if I get upset they come and sit by me and wont let anyone else near me. Poor girls, but I am struggling
with them at the moment because they do need lots of attention and I dont seem to be able to cope with
normal everyday things, so it is difficult and I cant expect people to be around all the time, but we will get there.
And yes our children are wonderful and we have always been so proud of them and I know Pete will be so pleased
that they are looking after me, even though they have their own grief to deal with.
I know Jenni is having a bad time at present and I have posted messages for her and I hope she and Richard have
some better news soon. Hope everyone is feeling well.
Lots of love

Carol, sorry, only just seen your msg as not here yesterday. I hope you got through your birthday, it must have been so hard for you, I cant even begin to imagine. Your children are obviously and kind and supportive as your dear Pete was, to buy such a wonderful present. I hoope you manaed to enjoy the meal made for you by your son and his girlfriend. I know its so hard to do normal things, we have dogs too, just little ones, shih tzu two boys. Your two need lots of exercise and it will be hard for you now. They will pick up on how you are feeling though, so dont worry too much about them. Take care of your self, and let us know how you are doing, thinking of you x x

Thinking of you Carol.
I'm sure Pete would be thrilled that you are getting support on here.
Life will get easier but I don't think you will believe that right now.

Lots of love and hugs.

Dearest Carol,

I cannot even begin to imagine how unbearable sad today must have been for you. I am so happy though that you were given such a precious gift- and the message is correct- our loved ones are always near to us, linked together spiritually and emotionally for all time.

Remembering you in prayer,

Love,

Amanda

Hi carol
Lovely dogs you have. I am horse and dog mad. we have 2 dogs one is dino a staffie/ lab cross he is 10 now had him from a puppy. he was last pup at dogs home litter of 8 and his mum had left that morning to new home. kennel maid knew what she was doing she put him in my son's arms. we had only gone for a look! Sasha our other dog was my best friends dog she died last year so sasha came to us even when margaret was still alive i gradually took over care of Sasha. Margaret had battled with cancer for quite a while, so I would go and stay with her and walk Sasha and look after Margaret. i do miss Margaret so much and I think Sasha does too. we go to Margarets house quite often it has been left to me so we may eventually live there one day when all the legal stuff as been dealt with. Sasha always seems happy to come away with me thou so i'm glad about that. Sorry for rambling on. look forward to seeing your posts.
